TASK

The ultra-high-speed CLIA analyzer detects and quantifies substances present in extremely low blood concentrations. Yimumu`s task was to design the analyzer both as a standalone unit and as an integrated module within the company's existing laboratory conveyor system.

The EXI 8000 features a generously sized, tinted plexiglass hood that offers a 180-degree view of all processes, allowing users to monitor operations with ease.

An intelligent overhang design in the front allows users to step closer to the worktop, supporting natural movement, improving reach and comfort during operation.

Designed for Ease of Use: Full and Targeted Access Options

Thoughtfully designed for both users and technicians, the EXI 8000 ensures optimal ergonomics and simplified maintenance. The hood can be fully opened for service access (front and back side) or only partially opened in distinct areas by personnel for quick refills, ensuring both efficiency and safety.

At a Glance: Status Visibility

A front-facing, illuminated indicator provides immediate information at a glance when substrates, liquids or tanks need refilling or emptying.

Intuitive Rack Placement for Seamless Preparation

The machine includes designated areas for placing various
preparation racks. Its intuitive design and intentionally placed
indicators guide users naturally through the setup process, minimize
the need for detailed instructions and reduce the risk of human error.

Details for Optimal Guidance

Illustrated instructions on the inside of the door assist users with routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing substrates and emptying the waste bin - providing clear, immediate guidance exactly where it’s needed.

UI Design

The user interface features two touchscreens that
deliver clear, real-time status information exactly where and when it’s needed. This eliminates the
need for constant back-and-forth between the computer and
the operational site, streamlining workflow and improving efficiency.

Visual and Functional Interaction

A unified design language has been implemented across both touchscreens, ensuring consistent user logic and graphical design.

The color scheme is tailored to match the specific product line, reinforcing brand recognition and aiding intuitive navigation. Key components of the device, such as the reagent carousel are opti-mally displayed for quick and accurate access to critical information.
