TASK
SWS is a national high-tech company that manufactures dialysis machines, blood purification consumables and operates dialysis centers. The organization is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical solutions for patients with chronic kidney disease. SWS commissioned the design of the user interface for the SWS-6000 product. This dialysis machine is used in conjunction with dialyzers and other filters and is used in cases of chronic kidney failure.
Design of the graphical user interface with corporate characteristics.
SERVICES
User logic adjustment and confirmation
Wireframing and prototyping
User interface trial version
Definition of a UX design language that matches the corporate identity
User interface design
Continuous support during implementation
Finding an Excellent
Experience
The customer requested an update of the outdated user interface,
focusing on both the operating logic and visual design. In addition,
the user experience was significantly enhanced and a consistent
visual design language established across the entire device series.
Project Research
UX Strategy
yimumu visited hospitals and dialysis centers where SWS tools are
most frequently used to conduct interviews with nurses, doctors, and
various other professionals. The stakeholders' comments on using the
device were documented to identify problems and needs specific to
their professions. In the next step, the problems were prioritized with
the goal of ensuring better future solutions for the operating logic and
the user experience for nursing staff.
PROVIDE A BETTER
USER EXPERIENCE
UX Process
Simplify and Highlight Key Points
Simplify the main interface
Customize frequently - used items and collapse infrequently - used ones
Standardize preparation, treatment parameters, and parameter settings
……
Clarify the Steps
Optimize and adjust the layout
Set up prompt - type operations and clarify the necessary operation steps
Optimize the way for entering values
……
New UI Design Style
Unify the visual language
Make the interactive states clear
Adapt the visual language to the
company's DNA
……
The operating logic was then restructured and the process optimized.
yimumu optimized the architecture by clarifying functional modules, highlighting important information, and adding quick access points.
This has enhanced the convenience of user operations and gained recognition through follow - up visits.
Moreover, the proportionate functional zoning ensures a clear surface layout.
UI Visual Design
A new look for SWS-6000
Three-dimensional curves were the inspiration for the design. Rounded corners, brightness contrasts, and
shadows were integrated throughout the user interface to give the device surface a simple, new texture.
yimumu emphasized hierarchical processing to make the interactive states more explicit.
